From the understanding of citizen’s needs using ludic activities, we achieved a meeting environment around “learning” as a “natural” habit of knowledge construction taking into account elements like dialogue, exchange between people, the built environment and the natural landscape.
More than a building, the educational park is a public space in itself. The project is proposed as a permeable container, thought as a promoter of constant modifications by the user, giving the building a changing nature while being appropriated and activated by the community.
Our strategy was to perform workshops with the inhabitants of Marinilla in order to understand their expectations and desires towards the new building.
We want to encourage space appropriation dynamics that can create unexpected relations and strengthen ties within the community. The hammocks as well as the plants have been appropriations made by the users of the park.
