Taco Bell handing out free Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos tacos Thursday with its “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco” World Series promotion back for its 10th year.
After Albies stole second base in the first inning of Game 1 in the series against the Houston Astros, the fast-chain declared him this year’s “Taco Hero” and announced details of the promotion.
The Braves won the six-game series Tuesday, their first World Series win since 1995.
Taco Bell and the MLB are sending the stolen base to Cooperstown, New York where it will be on display at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.

The free taco has an approximate retail value of $1.89. The giveaway is scheduled for all-day Nov. 4 at participating restaurants nationwide, while supplies last. It’s available to redeem the freebie through the Taco Bell website, app, in-restaurant or kiosk.
No purchase is necessary to get the free seasoned beef nacho cheese taco, but there’s a limit of one per person, according to the promotion rules. The free taco has an approximate retail value of $1.89, Taco Bell said.
The chain’s loyalty members got early access and could order the free taco ahead of Thursday’s giveaway with the app or website.
Taco Bell announced the deal ahead of the World Series and said it would “celebrate America’s Taco Hero and give away a free Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos for everyone in America, while supplies last, on a specified date that will be unveiled at a later time.”
