Minnesota Timberwolves young star Anthony Edwards went absolutely nuts in the fourth quarter against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. After a rough first three quarters, last year’s first overall pick exploded for 16 points in the game’s final 12 minutes and took over to help the Timberwolves grab a much-needed 107-97 win over the visiting Kings.
When asked what boosted his confidence after struggling early in the game, Edwards (as always) kept it real:
“I feel like if I’m having a bad first quarter, second quarter, third quarter, all of it, my memory goes away and I’ll feel like I’m the hottest person on earth in the fourth,” Edwards said after his 26-point game against Sacramento (via Bally Sports North). “I just felt like I could take over the game, so I did it,”

And, take over he did. Edwards was a beast in the game’s final stretch. The 20-year old was cooking the entire Kings defense in the fourth and was all over the floor. From knocking down pull-up threes to clamping down on the defensive end, the young star was doing it all for Minnesota.
He did sprinkle on some nasty moves in that crazy fourth quarter and let everyone know about it, too (via Bleacher Report):

Despite not winning last year’s ROTY award, Edwards has put his head down and has been going to work since entering the league. Even with the franchise struggling, Edwards has found a way to make an impact and let everyone in the association know that he’s one of the best young talents in today’s NBA.
